About

What is My Self Tree

My Self Tree is a growing collection of audio dialogues — a library of tools for different mental and emotional states. Places to pause, designed to help you slow down and make sense of what’s going on in your head.

At the center of each one is a conversation between ME and TREE. These aren’t fictional stories. They’re simplified versions of real experiences — anxiety, overthinking, burnout, feeling stuck… The dialogue format puts a little distance between you and your thoughts, which makes it easier to notice what’s actually happening without getting pulled under.

There’s nothing to study, no system to follow, and no progress to track. You listen, and the structure does the work.

My Self Tree is not therapy and isn’t meant to replace it. It’s a practical tool for moments when your mind is overloaded and you need a simple, contained place to reset.

New dialogues are added over time, covering different mental states and situations. The approach stays the same throughout: simple structure, honest tone, and something you can actually use.

About the Author

Author of My Self Tree, providing audio support for mental and emotional states

I was looking for something that could ground me in a few minutes — nothing too spiritual, nothing too clinical. I couldn’t find it, so I made it myself. It worked for me, and it might work for you too.

My name is Andrew. I spent several years dealing with anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, burnout, and mental exhaustion.

Most of the tools and methods I tried weren’t a good fit. Some were too abstract. Some required too much effort at the exact moments I had none to give. Some talked around the anxiety instead of directly to it. None of them quite worked for me.

So instead of looking for more information, I started looking for something simpler — something I could actually use in the middle of a hard moment, without any preparation.

The starting point was a simple image that came to me one sleepless night: a person sitting next to a tree. That image stayed with me. It gradually became a calm, structured dialogue between ME and TREE, and from there, My Self Tree grew.

I built small, structured mental places that are easy to enter. No setup required. No tasks to complete. Just something available when you need it.

The ME–TREE dialogues came out of that process. They’re based on direct experience and refined to be as clear and usable as possible.

I didn’t build this to teach or guide anyone in a formal sense. I built it because it worked for me, and I wanted to make it available to others.

The idea behind all of it is simple:

Use it until you don’t need it.
